Flor Maldjian - Actress

WHO AM I?

That’s not an easy question to answer. I don’t think any one thing defines us, but if you are here it’s probably because you know me as an actress.

When I was 10, a doctor once asked me, mid check-up: “And you… what do you want to be when you grow up?” I answered, without a shred of doubt: an actress in Hollywood! My parents laughed, and since I clearly knew my own mind, they signed me up for drama classes.

It took many years for that little girl’s dream to become real (although the Hollywood part is still pending!). I studied Journalism and Business Administration at the University of Valencia, then moved to London. It was there, among its theatre-filled streets, that I realized that what truly moved me, what made me feel alive, was being on a stage.

I moved to Madrid, where I began my training at Estudio Corazza para la Actuación. A few months after graduating, I threw myself into a creative process that became the play SERNOSER, centered in the desire (or lack of it) of becoming a mother.

At the same time, I kept training, this time with Lorena Bayonas, in her Professional course at Centro del Actor and later with Claudio Tolcachir. As an artist, I consider my training essential, which is why I’ve also done specific workshops with teachers like Augusto Fernandes, Consuelo Trujillo, and Lautaro Perotti.

In recent years I’ve kept building my theatre experience with plays like Señorita Julia and La Vida es Dulce, while also stepping into on-screen work thanks to directors like Roberto Pérez Toledo and Sayago Ayuso, whose latest project, “Por tus muertos”, features me in one of its roles.

Today, I am based in Madrid and every day I keep exploring new artistic horizons in theatre, film, and television.

I listened to that little girl and I get to do what I love.
